10 Ways Quantum Physics Will Change the World

Quantum physics deals with the behavior of the smallest things in our universe: subatomic particles. It is a new science, only coming into its own in the early part of the 20th century, when physicists began questioning why they couldn't explain certain radiation effects. One of those pioneering thinkers, Max Planck, used the term "quanta" for the tiny particles of energy he was studying, hence the term "quantum physics" [source: PBS]. Planck said the amount of energy contained in an electron is not arbitrary, but is a multiple of a standard "quantum" of energy. One of the first practical uses of this knowledge led to the invention of the transistor.

Unlike the inflexible laws of standard physics, the rules of quantum physics seem made to be broken. Just when scientists think they have one aspect of their study of matter and energy figured out, a new twist emerges to remind them how unpredictable their field is. Still, they are able to harness, if not totally understand, their findings to develop new technologies that sometimes can only be called fantastic.

The formulas of quantum physics are as far from classical physics as algebra is from multiplication tables.

In the future, quantum mechanics may help keep military secrets secure and protect your bank account information from online thieves. Scientists are working on quantum computers that can execute jobs far beyond the capabilities of today's machines. Broken into subatomic particles, items might be transported from one location to another in the blink of an eye. 1. Turbulence Control

Soon, quantum physics may have eliminated that bumpy ride that causes you to spill your drink on an airplane. By creating quantum turbulence in an ultra-cold atom gas in the laboratory, Brazilian scientists may have come across a method of studying the turbulence that interferes with airplanes and boats. For centuries, turbulence has stumped scientists because of the difficulty in re-creating the conditions that cause it to form.

MAX PLANCK

A conundrum involving ultraviolet radiation led German physicist Max Planck to try a mathematical trick that ultimately pointed to the existence of what Planck decided to call quantum mechanics. Planck's dilemma was that if you heat up a box from which no light can escape, it should produce an infinite amount of ultraviolet radiation. But that doesn't happen. This situation is known as the ultraviolet catastrophe. To explain this phenomenon, Planck tried an equation that assumed light was not a wave -- which everyone at the time assumed it was -- but instead existed only with set amounts or "quanta" of energy. To his surprise, the equations worked [source: PBS].

Turbulence is caused by swirls in a gas or liquid, and in nature occurs in a chaotic manner, seemingly without rhyme or reason [source: Science Daily]. While turbulence can form in air and in water, physicists have discovered it can also form in ultra-cold atom gases and superfluid helium. By studying turbulence in a controlled method in the lab, scientists may one day be able to predict and perhaps control it in nature.

2. Spintronics

A new magnetic semiconductor developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology may lead to faster yet more energy-efficient electronic devices in the future. Called "spintronics," this technology uses the spin state of electrons to transmit and store information. While conventional electronic circuits use only the charge state of an electron, spintronics takes advantage of the electron's spin direction.

Processing information through circuits with spintronics would allow information to be carried in two directions at once, further reducing the size of electronic circuits [source: Science Daily]. This new material injects electrons into the semiconductor based on their spin orientation. The electrons travel through the semiconductor and are ready to be a spin detector on the other side. Scientists say the new semiconductor can work at room temperature and is optically transparent, meaning it could work with touch screens and solar cells. They are also optimistic that it will enable inventors to come up with even more multi-functional devices.

3. Parallel Universes

Ever wonder what life would be like if you could travel back in time? Would you assassinate Hitler? Join the Roman legions and see the ancient world? Ask the head cheerleader to the prom? While we've all got fantasies of what we'd do if given the opportunity, scientists at the University of California Santa Barbara may have cleared the path to righting the wrongs of years gone by.

STRING THEORY

Want to know what the universe is made of? Maybe it's strings. Instead of an electron being a point that can only move in certain directions, string theory says it's a string, which can oscillate in many directions [source: Guijosa]. If it oscillates in a certain way, we call it an electron. If it oscillates in another way, it might be a photon or a quark. While string theory could provide a lot of answers, no one has been able to prove it's true, and many scientists are highly skeptical.

In a 2010 experiment, the scientists proved that an object may exist simultaneously in two different worlds. They isolated a tiny piece of metal, struck it like a tuning fork and observed that it moved and stood still at the same time [source: Fox]. While you probably would have just racked this observation up to delirium caused by overwork, these physicists say it proves that observing an object and action splits the universe into two parts -- one we can see and one we can't. The parallel universe theory says everything freezes during observation -- and then splits.

Scientists are trying to figure out how to jump at the moment of that split from the world we will enter into the one we won't. This parallel universe time-travel theory should work, scientists say, because quantum particles move backward and forward through time [source:Fox]. Now, all scientists have to do is build a time-bending machine using these quantum particles.

4. Quantum Dots

One day soon, quantum physics may help doctors locate cancer cells in the body and pinpoint exactly where the cells have spread. Scientists have discovered that some tiny semiconductor crystals called quantum dots glow when exposed to ultraviolet radiation and photographed with a special microscope [source: Wired]. They then coat the quantum dots with a material that is attractive to cancer cells. When injected into the body, the coated glowing quantum dots latch on to cancer cells, showing doctors exactly where to look for the cells. The glow coating is long-lasting, and it is relatively easy for scientists to customize it to fit the specifications of the particular type of cancer they are searching for.

While high-tech science certainly is responsible for many medical breakthroughs, man was dependent on other means of fighting illness for centuries. On the next page, we'll discuss how quantum physics plays a role in an entirely different type of healing.

5. Prayer

It is hard to imagine that the Native American, shamanistic healers and the pioneers of quantum physics would have much in common, but it turns out they do. Niels Bohr, one of the early investigators into this strange field of science, believed that much of what we call reality was dependent on an "observer effect," the relationship between what our reality does and how we observe it. 6. Entanglement

Something called entanglement may be a major influence on the future of solar power. Entanglement means the quantum interconnection of objects, such as atoms that are separated in actual physical space. Physicists believe that entanglement may occur in the parts of plants responsible for photosynthesis, or the conversion of light into energy. The structures responsible for photosynthesis, the chromophores, can turn 95 percent of the light they take in into energy [source: Science Daily]. Scientists are examining how this interconnection on the quantum level can influence solar energy creation, in hopes of developing efficient solar cells based on nature. Scholars have also discovered that algae may be using some form of quantum mechanics to move energy derived from light and may actually be able to store the energy in two places at once [source: Science Daily].

7. Quantum Computing

Another world-changing aspect of quantum physics may come in the computing realm, where a type of superconducting circuit is giving computers unprecedented speed and power. The circuits behave like artificial atoms, researchers say, because they can only gain or lose energy in packets by moving between discrete energy levels. The most complicated atom has five energy levels. This type of system is known as a "qudit" and is a vast improvement over the previous "qubit," which had only two energy levels. Qubits and qudits take the place of the bits used in standard computers. These quantum computers will use the laws of quantum mechanics to perform computations much faster than traditional computers [source: Science Daily].

There is, however, a problem that scientists are concerned may arise if quantum computing becomes a reality -- cryptography, or the encoding of information. Keep reading to learn about new methods of quantum cryptography and how they will work on both traditional and quantum computers.

8. Quantum cryptography

All sorts of information, from your credit card numbers to top-secret military strategies, are on the Internet, and a skilled hacker with enough knowledge and computer power could play havoc with your finances or world security. Encryption codes keep that information secure, and computer experts work ceaselessly to come up with more and more secure methods.

In this 2004 photo, Boston University senior research associate Martin Jaspan examines control cables leading to a single photon detector module. Scientists at BU, Harvard University and BBN Technologies were at work on a quantum encryption system to code and decode information with light particles.

Encoding messages inside an individual particle of light, or photon, has long been the goal of quantum cryptographers. That method seems to be just at hand, as scientists at the University of Toronto have worked with a method fast enough to encode a video [source: Science]. Cryptography involves a string of ones and zeros called the "key." Adding the key once encodes the information, adding it again decodes it. If an unauthorized person manages to obtain the key, the code can be cracked. But in quantum key distribution, the very act of using the key would reveal the hacker's presence.

9. Teleporting

Haven't we all imagined what it would be like to instruct Scotty to beam us up, then dissolve into a stream of particles, only to be reassembled in another place? It's science fiction no more; it has been done, not on humans but on large molecules. Therein lies the problem. Every molecule in the human body would have to be scanned and then reassembled on the other side. But that's not going to happen any time soon. Another thing: Once you scan the particle, according to the laws of quantum physics, you have changed it. You can't make an exact copy.

Here's where entanglement comes in. Entanglement links two objects as if they were the same entity. We will scan one half of the particle, but the teleported copy will be made the other half. It will be an exact copy because we never measured that particle -- we measured its twin. The particle we measured was destroyed, but its exact copy was reanimated at the destination [source: Comstock].

10. The God Particle

Scientists are using something very, very big -- the Large Hadron Collider -- to look for something very, very small: the fundamental particle believed to be at the root of our universe. The Higgs boson -- sometimes prosaically called the "God particle" -- is what scientists believe gives mass to fundamental particles (electrons, quarks and gluons) [source:National Geographic]. Scientists believe the Higgs boson field must pervade all space, but so far the existence of these particles is just a theory. By isolating the Higgs boson, physicists might be able to understand how the universe went from a dense mass at the moment of the Big Bang to the infinitely spacious universe we have today. It might also explain how matter came to be balanced with antimatter. In short, finding the Higgs boson might explain everything.

LARGE HADRON COLLIDER

If the God particle is discovered, it will probably be at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the world's largest particle accelerator, located underneath the border between France and Switzerland. The first proton-to-proton collisions in the LHC took place in 2009. In addition to confirming or ruling out the existence of the Higgs boson, or God particle, scientists hope the LHC can confirm the existence of other dimensions and help account for the existence of dark matter in the universe [source: National Geographic].

India Against Corruption - A battle we must not lose

Forget Anna Hazare. The Jan Lokpal movement can go to hell for all I care. Let us just look at the issues over which the battle between the Government and us citizens is being fought. And then let’s decide where we want to stand, each one of us, on the issue of corruption.

The first question is: Do corruption and bribery hurt you? If they do, do you want a solution? If your answer is yes to both, do you think such a solution lies with an independent authority? Or do you think a corrupt Government can fight corruption on its own, and within its own ranks? If your answer is no to that, then we need to create an independent institution to fight corruption. Right? Well, that’s precisely what Anna is asking for. He is asking for a Lokpal that the Government cannot influence nor manipulate. This is the first battle.

The second battle is over four things. One: Should the Prime Minister come under the purview of the Lokpal? Almost everyone I know thinks he should. A honest Prime Minister wouldn’t care. A dishonest one must be supervised. Or else, we will have cases like Bofors that will never ever be resolved.

Two: Should Members of Parliament come under the Lokpal? I have not met a single person till date who thinks that our MPs are so honest that they need not be supervised. My guess is if a referendum is ever taken, Anna will get a 100% yes to this question, given what people think of our politicians and the standards of probity in public life.

The third question is even more obvious: Do all public servants need to come under the Lokpal? My guess is India’s answer will be yes, yes, yes. Every day, in every area of our life and work, we are constantly harassed, intimidated and extorted by corrupt Government officers. The poorer you are, the worse is the torture. So yes, every public servant, every Government officer must come under the Lokpal. Question four: Who should give permission to file an FIR against a corrupt judge? If the Lokpal can look into corruption charges against the PM, the MPs and Government servants, isn’t it only logical to expect it to do the same against judges?

The third and final battle is over an even simpler thing: The Citizen’s Charter. Should every Government office have such a Charter which will clearly state which officer will do what work and in how much time? And should an officer who refuses to do his work in time or asks for a bribe to move a file be punished? The Government says a charter a fine but Government servants must not be penalised if they don’t do their work! Anna believes that officers not doing their work in time amounts to corruption and must face the same treatment. Isn’t it rather obvious what India thinks about this?

Do we really need a referendum on these simple, basic issues? I seriously doubt it. Every Indian will endorse the idea of a Lokpal as Anna and his team have envisioned it, with the help of thousands of Indians who have contributed online to the process of drafting the bill.

Yes, there are genuine fears that we should not create yet another monster out there, who will make life more difficult for us than it already is. But even that has been addressed rather adroitly by Anna’s team. It is a complex process, true but it also ensures that the choice is wisely made. And what if there are charges against the Lokpal? Well, there’s a provision there too. You can go straight to the Supreme Court and seek justice out there.

So why are we arguing so much over this Bill? Why is the Government digging its heels in and refusing to listen to us citizens? Why must Anna go on a hunger strike all over again to press home the point that corruption must be fought back? I guess it’s a question of both ego and fear. No one likes to give up the power they have, and certainly not the Government. In fact, it’s always trying to interfere more and more in our lives, grab more and more authority, more and more space. And fear? Well, I guess we all know the answer to that. This is possibly the most corrupt Government we have ever had. It has good reason to be scared.

While everyone has been animatedly supporting Anna Hazare's fight against corruption, people seem to have forgotten who the people are who actually led to this situation. The peak of irony was when Anna was, allegedly, lodged in the same jail that housed the people who were responsible for two of the biggest scams in the country ever. How must the authorities have felt when they saw Raja and Kalmadi fill their plates while Anna was on a fast because of their misdeeds?

Corruption has become an unavoidable part of politics and every now and then, one or the other politician re-affirms this fact. Here is our pick of the 10 most corrupt politicians of India.

01. Suresh Kalmadi

Suresh Kalmadi, almost single handedly caused a loss of hundreds of crores of rupees to the country. The Commonwealth Games, organized by Kalmadi was no less than a loot with numerous reports of the magnum opus event being soaked in corruption making headlines way before the Games had even started. Apparently, out of Rs. 70000 crores spent on the Games, only half of the amount was actually spent. Owing to his involvement in the scam, Kalmadi was charged with corruption and sent to Tihar jail.

02. A. Raja

A scam worth Rs. 176,000 crore had former Union Cabinet Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Andimuthu Raja at the centre. A. Raja as he is generally called, was the prime accused in the 2G spectrum scam, which was the largest that the country had seen in a long time. Following the shocking exposure, Raja was indicted and forced to resign. Presently, he is too has been lodged at the Tihar jail and is awaiting his trial.

03. Mayawati

Mayawati has always been criticized for ostentatious display of power in her state. She has allegedly used her status as chief minister to amass large amounts of personal wealth. She was charged with corruption when the Taj Heritage Corridor Case was uncovered. Mayawati's birthdays have always been media events, where she usually appears decked in diamond jewellery and also accepts public donations for which, she often comes under fire. Her assets are worth millions of dollars and in the year 2007-08, she had paid an income tax of Rs. 26 crores, which placed her amongst the top 20 taxpayers of the year.

04. Lalu Prasad Yadav

The fact that Lalu Prasad Yadav has been an accused in 63-odd cases serves for the fact that Lalu stands as one of the strongest competitor in the list. The biggest scam that rocked Lalu's political career was the fodder scam which involved the embezzlement of Rs. 950 crore approximately. The accusation of nepotism against him has come up time and again but hardly any action has been taken against him owing to his 'connections' in the government.

05. Madhu Koda

Former Jharkand Chief Minister, and only the third independent legislator to assume the office of chief minister in India, Madhu Koda was responsible for a scam worth over Rs. 4000 crore. The man exploited the state's natural resources by licensing illegal mining leases and stashing away the wealth amassed during the undertaking. Furthermore, the Maoists received a 30% share of the booty. Koda was arrested on charges of money laundering and is still in prison following the rejection of numerous bail applications.

06. Mulayam Singh Yadav

Mulayam Singh Yadav is also known as one of the most corrupt ministers in the country despite not being directly involved in any major scams. Apart from his name being involved in appointments of tainted officers and mishandling of his power as chief minister, Mulayam Singh had one major allegation levelled against him, accumulation of disproportionate assets. The case drew limelight on his sons and daughter-in-law as they too were holders of the assests that amounted to crores of rupees.

07. Karunanidhi

The corruptions charges against M. Karunanidhi are so many that he is often referred to as the king or emperor of corruption. He was accused of lending support to the LTTE and was indicted for abetting the LTTE in the interim report which oversaw the investigation into Rajiv Gandhi's assassination.

Karunanidhi reportedly institutionalized corruption in the South. He was a leading player in the cash for votes scams that are common in the southern region, as well as notorious foe extreme nepotism shown under his rule. The most recent politician to be caught in the web of corruption is former Chief Minister of Karnataka, B. S. Yeddyurappa. Lokpal at centre and Lokayukta at state level will be independent bodies. ACB and CBI will be merged into these bodies. They will have power to initiate investigations and prosecution against any officer or politician without needing anyone’s permission. Investigation should be completed within 1 year and trial to get over in next 1 year. Within two years, the corrupt should go to jail.
No corrupt officer is dismissed from the job because Central Vigilance Commission, which is supposed to dismiss corrupt officers, is only an advisory body. Whenever it advises government to dismiss any senior corrupt officer, its advice is never implemented.	Lokpal and Lokayukta will have complete powers to order dismissal of a corrupt officer. CVC and all departmental vigilance will be merged into Lokpal and state vigilance will be merged into Lokayukta.
No action is taken against corrupt judges because permission is required from the Chief Justice of India to even register an FIR against corrupt judges.	Lokpal & Lokayukta shall have powers to investigate and prosecute any judge without needing anyone’s permission.
Nowhere to go - People expose corruption but no action is taken on their complaints.	Lokpal & Lokayukta will have to enquire into and hear every complaint.
There is so much corruption within CBI and vigilance departments. Their functioning is so secret that it encourages corruption within these agencies.	All investigations in Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be transparent. After completion of investigation, all case records shall be open to public. Complaint against any staff of Lokpal & Lokayukta shall be enquired and punishment announced within two months.
Weak and corrupt people are appointed as heads of anti-corruption agencies.	Politicians will have absolutely no say in selections of Chairperson and members of Lokpal & Lokayukta. Selections will take place through a transparent and public participatory process.
Citizens face harassment in government offices. Sometimes they are forced to pay bribes. One can only complaint to senior officers. No action is taken on complaints because senior officers also get their cut.	Lokpal & Lokayukta will get public grievances resolved in time bound manner, impose a penalty of Rs 250 per day of delay to be deducted from the salary of guilty officer and award that amount as compensation to the aggrieved citizen.
Nothing in law to recover ill gotten wealth. A corrupt person can come out of jail and enjoy that money.	Loss caused to the government due to corruption will be recovered from all accused.
Small punishment for corruption- Punishment for corruption is minimum 6 months and maximum 7 years.	Enhanced punishment - The punishment would be minimum 5 years and maximum of life imprisonment.

The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the feminine gender ('la computadora'), because:

1. Writing skills matter a lot in the NET Examination. Most of the candidates appearing for the NET examination have a lot of knowledge, but lack writing skills. You should be able to present all the information/knowledge in a coherent and logical manner, as expected by the examiner. For example: Quoting with facts and substantiating your answer with related concepts and emphasizing your point of view.

2. Preparations for NET examination should be done intensively.

3.After deciding the questions one should sort out the NET question papers according to the syllabus topics. If one analyses these questions, after sometime the questions are repeated in one form or the other.

4. Prepare a standard answer to the question papers of the previous years. This will also make your task easy at the UGC examination.

5. Do Not miss the concepts. Questions asked are of the Masters level examination. Sometimes the questions are ‘conceptual’ in nature, aimed at testing the comprehension levels of the basic concepts.

6. Get a list of standard textbooks from the successful candidates, or other sources and also selective good notes. The right choice of reading material is important and crucial. You should not read all types of books as told by others.

7. Always target for writing section even while preparing for objective questions. As there is much in common for study and there is little time for preparation for the wriiten part II examination.

8. While studying for the subjects, keep in mind that there is no scope for selective studies in UGC. The whole syllabus must be covered thoroughly. Equal stress and weight should be given all the sections of the syllabus.

9. Note that in the ultimate analysis both subjects carry exactly the same amount of maximum marks.

10. For subjects like Mathematics and Statistics and Geography maps etc, practice is very important. One should also practice other subjects and should not treat the same examination, as an “experience gathering” exercise to get a chance for writing mains is a great thing, which you may not get again.

11. Go through the unsolved papers of the previous papers and solve them to stimulate the atmosphere of the examination.
12. Stick to the time frame. Speed is the very essence of this examination. Hence, time management assumes crucial importance.

13. For developing the writing skills, keep writing model answers while preparing for the NET examination. This helps get into the habit of writing under time pressure in the Mains examination.

14. Never be over confident with your writing skills. It is too subjective and behavioral.

15. Develop and follow your own style of writing. Try not to be repetitive and maintain a flow in the style of your writing.
16. Never try to imitate others in the style of writing.

17. Sequential and systematic style of answering comes after a lot of practice and analysis of standard answers.

18. Try to stimulate the actual examination hours to judge the performance and to plug any loopholes.

19. Try not to exceed the word limit, as far as possible. Sticking to the word limit that will save time. Besides, the number of marks you achieve are not going to increase even if you exceed the word limit. It’s the quality that matters not the quantity.

20. Revision of subjects is very important. The reason is that you have been preparing for months or years together. It is a human tendency to forget something after some time.

21. Donot bother yourselves if you are unable to revise everything before examination. Write it legibly as it will simplify the evaluator’s task and he can read the answers easily.

22. Highlight the important points which are important.

23. Follow paragraph writing rather than essay form. A new point should start with a new paragraph.

24. If the question needs answer in point format give it a bullet format.

25. Keep sufficient space between two lines.

26. Try to maintain uniformity in your writing throughout the paper.

27. Under time pressure, the script should not go from bad to worse in the later stages of the answer sheets. This may irritate the evaluator.

28. Don’t count words after every answer. If you have practiced well you should reflexively know the approximate limit you made.

29. Give space and divide it by a dividing line between two questions.

30. Above all be patient and believe in God.

कांग्रेस की सरकार गूगल के जरिए न्यू मीडिया पर सेंसरशिप कर रही है

कहने के लिए तो भारत में मीडिया स्वतंत्र है और अभिव्यक्ति की पूरी आजादी है, लेकिन क्या सरकारें और प्रशासन अपनी निंदा बर्दाश्त कर पाते हैं? अगर सर्च इंजिन गूगल की मानें तो उत्तर होगा, नहीं।

गूगल की 'ट्रांसपरेंसी रिपोर्ट' के मुताबिक छह महीनों में प्रशासन की ओर से भी गूगल से कई बार कहा गया कि वे प्रधानमंत्री , कांग्रेस पार्टी और कांग्रेस के मुख्यमंत्रियों और अधिकारियों की आलोचना करने वाले रिपोर्ट्स, ब्लॉग और यू-ट्यूब वीडियो को हटा दें।

'ट्रांसपेरंसी रिपोर्ट' के मुताबिक जुलाई 2010 से दिसंबर 2010 के बीच ऐसे 67 आवेदन आए, जिन्हें गूगल ने नहीं माना। इन 67 आवेदनों में से छह अदालतों की ओर से आए और बाकी 61 प्रशासनिक हल्कों से।

रिपोर्ट के अनुसार ये आवेदन 282 रिपोर्ट्स को हटाने के बारे में थे। इनमें से 199 यू ट्यूब के वीडियो, 50 सर्च के परिणामों, 30 ब्लॉगर्स से संबंधित थे। गूगल के हालांकि इसके विवरण नहीं दिए हैं, लेकिन रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक उसने कोई भी रिपोर्ट हटाई नहीं, हालांकि 22% में बदलाव किए।

लेकिन गूगल एक बहुत ही जिमेदार कंपनी है उसने कांग्रेस सरकार के आदेश को मानने से इंकार कर दिया .. गूगल का कहना है की वो सिर्फ धार्मिक आलोचना , न्यूड आदि के खिलाफ है लेकिन गूगल अभिव्यक्ति की आज़ादी को मानने वाली कंपनी है .. यहाँ तक की सरकार ने अमेरिकी प्रशाशन से भी गूगल पर दबाव बनाने की कोशिश की लेकिन अमेरिका में अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतन्त्रता भारत से भी जयादा है ..

गूगल की ट्रांसपेरंसी रिपोर्ट में ये भी बताया गया है कि दुनिया के ज्यादातर देशों की न्याय प्रक्रिया से जुड़ी अलग-अलग एजेंसियां गूगल से उसकी सेवाएं इस्तेमाल करने वालों की जानकारी मांगती हैं।

भारत में जुलाई 2010 से दिसंबर 2010 के बीच ऐसे 1,699 आवेदन किए गए, जिनमें से गूगल ने 79% के लिए जानकारी उपलब्ध करवाई।

अन्य देश : छह महीनों की इस अवधि में जानकारी हटाने की अधिकतम 263 आवेदन ब्राजील से आए। इनमें से कई चुनाव के दौरान किए जा रहे प्रचार से संबंधित थे।

गूगल के मुताबिक ब्राजील में उसकी सोशल नेटवर्किंग वेबसाइट ‘ऑर्कुट’ बेहद लोकप्रिय है, जिस वजह से उस पर उप्लब्ध जानकारी पर सरकारी नियंत्रण की कोशिशें अन्य देशों के मुकाबले ज्यादा हैं।

दक्षिण कोरिया से आए 139 आवेदनों में से ज्यादातर कोरियाई इन्फॉरमेशन सिक्यूरिटी एजेंसी की ओर से थे। इनमें खोज के ऐसे परिणाम हटाए जाने की मांग की गई थी जो कोरियाई सरकार की ओर से जारी किए जाने वाले निजी प्रमाण संख्या (आरआरएन) की जानकारी देते थे।

तीसरे नंबर पर जर्मनी से इसी अवधि में 118 आवेदन दिए। इनमें से अधिकांश सरकारी यूथ प्रोटेक्शन एजेंसी की ओर से थे। इनमें नाजी स्मृति चिन्हों, हिंसा या पोर्नोग्राफी से संबंधित परिणामों को हटाने का अनुरोध किया गया था।

5- फिर आया कामनवेल्थ खेल का 90000 करोड़ का घोटाला, फिर कोयला का घोटाला जिसमे ठेकेदारों द्वारा 10 पैसे प्रति किलो के भाव से कोयला खरीदा जाता है और उसे बाजार में 4 रुपये किलो तक बेचा जाता है, यह रकम अब तक 26 लाख करोड़ होती है,

6- इटली के 8 बैंक और स्वीटजरलैंड के 4 बैंको को 2005 में भारत में क्यों खोला गया है और इसमे किसका पैसा जमा होता है, ये बैंक किसको लोन देते है और इनका ब्याज क्या है, इनकी जरुरत क्यों आ पड़ी भारत में जब की भारत के ही बैंकरों की बैंक खोलने की अर्जियाँ सरकार के पास धूल खा रही है, इन बैंको को चोरी छुपे क्यों खोला गया है, इन बैंको आवश्यकता क्यों है जब भारत में 80% लोग 20 रूपया प्रतिदिन से भी कम कमाते है.

7-भारत के किसानो से कमीशन लेने वाले चोर कत्रोची के बेटे को अंदमान दीप समूह में तेल की खुदाई का ठेका क्यों दिया गया 2005 में, किसने दिया ठेका, किसके कहने पर दिया ठेका, क्या वहा पर पहले से ही तेल के कुऊ का पता लगाकर वह स्थान इसे दे दिया गया जैसे की बहुत बार खबरों में अन्य संदर्भो में आती है, यह खबर क्यों छुपाई गयी अब तक, इसे देश को क्यों नहीं बताया गया, मिडिया क्यों इसे छुपा गई, और विपक्ष ने इसे मुद्दा क्यों नहीं बनाया.

9- सरकार ने कहा की टैक्स चोरी का मामला है, हम उन देशो से समझौते कर रहे है, जिससे की दोहरा कर न देना पड़े, यह टैक्स चोरी नहीं भारत देशको लूट डालने का मामला है

10- फिर बात आई की यदि ये भ्रष्टाचारी और लुटेरे इसमे से 15% टैक्स सरकार को दे तो इसे भारत के बैंको में जमा करने दिया जायेगा और किसी को यह हक़ नहीं होगा की वह पूछे की या इतना पैसा कैसे कमाया या लूटा. सरकार इस पर एक कानून क्यो नही ला रही है, किसको बचाया जा रहा है?

11- यूरिया घोटाला है और यूरिया किसान को दुगुने दाम बेचा जाता है, फिर गेहू सस्ते में खरीदा जाता है, हम अभी तक सुरक्षित अन्न भण्डारण की व्यवस्था क्यों नहीं बना पाए जब की हमारे पास धन की कमी ही नहीं है, क्योकि अन्न को सडा दिखाकर उसे कौड़ियो के भाव शराब माफिया को बचा जाता है जब की गरीब अन्न बिना मर रहा है।

12-हमारे देश में क्यों अनुसन्धान के लिए पर्याप्त पैसा नहीं दिया जाता है, यह कीसकी चाल है, जिसकी वजह से हम 5-10 गुना दाम में विदेशी चीजे खरीदते है, क्या कारण है की हमारे देश में एक भी सोलर ऊर्जा वैज्ञानिक नहीं है और दुनिया भर के परमाणु वैज्ञानिक है जो हमें हमेशा झूठा अश्वाव्हन देते है की यह परमाणु बिजली सस्ती और निरापद है भारत की परमाणु से सम्बंधित कुल बाजार 750 लाख करोड़ का होगा. जब की हम भारत में 400000 मेगावाट सोलर बिजली बना सकते है,

13-ऐसे कौन से कारण है जिनके कारन हम नेहरू के द्वारा ट्रांसफर अफ पॉवर अग्रीमेंट 14 अगस्त 1947 को दस्तखत करने के बाद भी आज तक विक्सित नहीं बन पाए, जब की हमारी जनता हफ्ते में 90 घंटा काम करती है जबकि कामचोर अंग्रेज हफ्ते में सिर्फ 30 घंटा काम करते है,

14-क्या कारण है की हमारे 45 रुपये में 1 डालर और 90 रुपये में 1 पौंड मिलाता है, जब की 1947 में 1 रुपये में 1 डालर मिलता था.

15- मीडिया को निष्पक्ष बनाने के लिए सरकार क्या कदम उठा रही है, मिडिया , टीवी और पत्रिकाए सरकार को बिक जाती है और निराधार और झूठ को भी सच बताकर प्रस्तुत करती है।

16- अगर देश में 2 लाख करोड़ रुपये की नकदी सर्कुलेशन में है तो देश की अर्थव्यवस्था करीब 100 लाख करोड़ रुपयों की होती है. और हमारे देश में रिजर्व बैंक अबतक लगभग 18 लाख करोड़ रुपयों के नोट छाप चुका है और कमसे कम 10 लाख करोड़ रुपये सर्कुलेशन में है. इस हिसाब से देश की अर्थव्यवस्था करीब 400 से 500 लाख करोड़ रुपये होनी चाहिए लेकिन अभी हमारी अर्थव्यवस्था केवल 60 लाख करोड़ की है. जबकि इतनी अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए दो लाख करोड़ से भी कम सर्कुलेशन मनी की जरूरत है.

17- अगर 400 लाख करोड़ रूपये का काला धन देश में वापिस आ जाता है तो देश की अर्थव्यवस्था करीब 20,000 लाख करोड़ रुपये होगी ... क्या आप जानते हैं कि इस समय अमेरिका सबसे शक्तिशाली देश है और उसकी अर्थव्यवस्था करीब 650 लाख करोड़ की है... मतलब 400 लाख करोड़ रुपये वापिस मिलने पर हम अमरीका से भी 30 गुना ज्यादा शक्तिशाली बन सकते है.

भारत एक गरीब देश है ! कोरा झूठ ।

तथ्य: भारत दुनिया का सबसे ताकतवर एवं अमीर देश है। यह एक बहुत बडी सच्चाई है की दुनिया के अधिकांश विकसित देशो के लोग कमजोर है परन्तु वहा का नेत्रत्व कायर, बुजदिल एवं भ्रष्ट है तथा कानुन कमजोर है। भारत के स्थानिय निकायो, राज्य सरकारो एवं केन्द्र सरकार का कुल बजट 20 लाख करोड रुपये है। और यह 20 लाख करोड का बजट तो तब है जबकि देश मे चारो तरफ भ्रष्टाचार शिखर पर है। इस देश मे भ्रष्टाचार न हो तो भारत देश का कुल बजट 35-40 लाख करोड हो सकता है। आप ही सोचे आप ही निर्णय करे की क्या एक गरीब देश का इतना बजट हो सकता है। जानबुझकर देश के भ्रष्ट एवं बेईमान नेतओ ने देश को गरीब बनाना हुआ है। देश से यदि भ्रष्टाचार मिट जाए तो देश मे एक भी व्यक्ति बेरोजगार व गरीब नही रह सकता। एक षड्यंत्र के तहत लोगो को बेरोजगार गरीब एवं अनपढ बनाया हुआ है। जिससे की भ्रष्ट शासक देश के गरीब, बेरोजगार, अनपढ एवं अशिक्षित लोगो पर मनमाने ढंग से शासन कर सके अथवा लोकतन्त्र के नाम पर तानाशाही कर सके।

वास्तविकता : भारत मे 100% लोग टैक्स देते है। जो भी देशवासी तन पर दो कपडे ओढता है या साल मे एक दो बार साबून प्रयोग मे लाता है अथवा जूते चप्पल पहनता है अथवा बाजार मे, दुकान पर जाकर वह जीवन की जरुरी प्रयोग की वस्तू आटा, नमक, टूथपेस्ट, तेल, मसाले, कागज, कलम, लोहा, सीमेंट आदि खरीदता है, तो इन सब वस्तुओ पर वह वैट/एक्साइज आदि ड्यूटी भरकर ही दुकानदार से क्रय करता है। एक आम आदमी भी स्टैम्प ड्यूटी, पीने के पानी पर टैक्स, ग्रहकर, सीवेज टैक्स, रोड टैक्स, सर्विस टैक्स, सेल टैक्स अर्थात किसी न किसी प्रकार का टैक्स जीवन भर जरुर देता है, तो क्या यह सफेद झुठ नहीं है की मात्र पाँच प्रतिशत लोग ही टैक्स भरते है! ये झूठा भ्रम/प्रचार एक षड्यंत्र के तहत इसलिए किया जाता है की देश के बेईमान लोग यदि लुटे तो कोई आवाज ना उठाये। उनकी आवाज दबाने के लिए ही यह झूठ बोला जाता है, ताकि जब कोई इन भ्रष्ट बेईमानो से टैक्स मनी के रुप मे दिये गये टैक्स का हिसाब माँगे तो ये भ्रष्ट लोग कह सके की तुम तो टैक्स ही नही देते, तुम हिसाब मांगने वाले कोन होते हो ?

पूँजीवादी समाज मेँ गरीब का कोई नहीँ होता.... और अगर सरकारी नीतियाँ भी उल्टी होँ तो कोई भी देश् गरीबोँ को मरने के लिये मजबूर करके विकसित देशोँ मेँ अपना नाम दर्ज करा सकता है.... भारत भी इसी रास्ते पे है.......

2. What's so special about him?

He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra

3. So what?

This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills. In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India. It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.

4. Ok,...?

This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.

5. Really, what is he fighting for?

He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India.

6. How that can be possible?

He is advocating for a Bil, The Jan Lokpal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.

7. It's an entirely new thing right..?

In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).

8. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?

The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed. Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the JAN LOKPAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.

9. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?

A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.

Remember when you first had a steady girlfriend you couldn't keep your hands off? Your single mates envied your persistent public displays of affection and you'd gloat over those sneaky-quickies that followed. You hated parental restrictions for getting in the way of a five-minute under-the-shirt action and fantasised about a married life, minus the rules and packed with lust. You thought this lust would last forever, didn't you?

Now picture this reality. You're home from a 12-hour workday and an hour-long commute to find her on a conference-call, making throatslitting gestures to her absent boss while you collapse in an exhausted heap on the couch. Forget your favourite wine, you're seriously thinking about drinking a glass of milk every night, you've been told it'll help you sleep. Sex? Shudder- you're almost praying for her to have a headache!

It isn't an exaggeration to say the sex lives of urban couples is in crisis mode these days. Workplaces from hell, killer commutes, bills and loans, snarky colleagues and 24/7 cricket on ESPN, none of it is geared to make you feel sexy. You're not alone.

According to a recent survey in the US by the National Sleep Foundation, one in four Americans who're married/living with someone say they're mostly too tired to have sex. "I would even say it's an epidemic," said Peter Fraenkel, a New York-based couples therapist, in an interview to CBS's 48 Hours. Another survey reports that nearly half of all married couples in the US have sex only between once and thrice a month.

Yet, sex is a basic need and it's critical to a relationship-not to mention, it's a ton of fun! What you need, then, are ways to factor sex into your life without feeling you're ticking off another task on your bottomless to-do list. Start here!

1. Planning is underrated

Do you show up at airports without booking a flight? No. Leave hotel reservations on vacation to chance? No. Hell, do you show up at a client's without an appointment? Naah. Fact is, planning pays big dividends. Yet, when it comes to sex, planning is considered unexciting. What's really unexciting, however, is the 'spontaneous' sex you're never having but want to nonetheless.

You don't have to detail every aspect of your sex lives ahead of time, but figuring out with your partner how often you both ideally want sex, then working towards making time for it, is hardly rocket science. There's no right and wrong frequency, just what works for the two of you. "My wife and I have been married five years and recently we found we simply weren't getting it on for weeks.

She was tired or I was, or we had social commitments that exhausted us post-work. I panicked-I mean, I was barely 30 and it looked like my sex life was over! We talked it over and have made a zero-tolerance rule ever since-Friday nights are ours alone. We don't go to parties, events or anywhere else. The only time the rule is broken is if one of us is travelling on work, or if either's parents have anniversaries/birthdays," says Rohan Nadkarni, 31, a Mumbai-based commodities trader.

"Friends made fun of us in the beginning and there was whining when we didn't show up at a pal's dinner or birthday, but over time everyone respects our choice. We go out to dinner or grab takeaways together-sometimes we'll stay in and cook, talk, open a bottle of wine. It's just the perfect, low-stress way to start a weekend. And most Fridays, we're having sex! Sure, we know it ahead of time. But that only makes it better when, Friday evening I'm driving home from work and I know what the evening-and the whole night- has in store," he laughs.

Have kids? Make one day a week non-negotiable for the two of you, and ignore anyone who says otherwise. Kids who grow up with parents that act like a couple, not just 'mom-dad', are way likelier to have a positive view of relationships in the future.

2. Stay edgy

We've all heard the homily about sex being between the ears and not between the legs; that's as true today as it was when you first heard it. Sex is the outcome of attraction, and attraction isn't a cactus plant-it won't grow on air and water alone.

It needs all the signs you first showed when you started dating-you stayed fit, dressed hot, laughed often, surprised her, flirted with her publicly, held her hand or put your arm around her waist. You played footsie under tables and had private jokes that no-one else got. You made out in the car and sometimes at parties in the dark. Your connection was intimate, naughty, urgent.

Sure, the urgency will recede, and the need to impress won't be allconsuming. And that's a good thing, it spells the end of initial insecurities about each other. What isn't good? Losing the intimacy that went with it. You can have one without the other, though. "He was far more 'aware' of me the rest of that evening." That awareness is what keeps you tuned into each other physically.

3. Sex-up the setting

If Arnab Goswami is the soundtrack to your bedroom encounters, it may explain why you're not in the mood very often. Sexy is a state of mind, even more so for women, who're very sensitive to atmosphere. No, that doesn't mean you turn into a sop with a frilly pink bedroom, but you certainly need to work at setting the tone for a relaxed, seductive space. A few small touches-chillout music, intimate lighting, a couple of candles-go a long way, with little effort.

The bigger challenge? Keeping your bedroom a no-TV zone; ditto for laptops and other stress-inducing gadgets. As for the Blackberry? Keep it on silent and out of arm's reach post 10pm if you want to have any kind of sex life at all!

And as research has repeatedly shown, the first thing to take a hit when stress strikes a couple's life? Sex!

To prevent your sex life from becoming a victim of information overload, consciously turn your bedroom into a purely leisure zone.

4. Get creative

Half the battle is won when you can get your mind primed to think about sex often, despite a stressed-out, packed schedule. A trick that works? Turn it into a creativity game with your partner. Have a 'sexy' shelf/drawer (lockable, please, unless you'd like to give a nosy maid the shock treatment) in your bedroom to aid creativity: Start with a variety of condoms; lube; a silk scarf; erotic DVDs or even literature; a sex toy or two, if that works for you. Agree that each of you needs to add 'elements' to the shelf on a monthly basis; it'll keep you both thinking of creative things you can use in the bedroom, and put sex front-and-centre on the agenda.

"My girlfriend and I had great sex, but it was fairly typical," says Neeraj Dutt, 38, partner in a New Delhibased consulting fi rm. "Then, on a trip to Germany, I was transiting at Frankfurt airport and saw a 'naughty' shop. I strolled in out of curiosity and it was, of course, a fetishist's dream. The store attendants and other customers were so blase that it gave me the nerve to pick up a fun pair of handcuffs," he laughs. "To be honest, it's been three months and we haven't used them yet, but just bringing them home to Ritika (his girlfriend) has sparked things up hugely. Make it interesting and insightful so that your details will be read thoroughly and the chances of being shortlisted are higher

Getting ready to prepare that all-important resume? Well, the Daily Writing Tips website has a few suggestions to make your task easier.

Know the purpose of your resume

Some people write a resume as if the purpose of the document was to land a job. As a result they end up with a really long and boring piece that makes them look like desperate job hunters. The objective of your resume is to land an interview, and the interview will land you the job (hopefully!).

Back up your qualities and strengths

Instead of creating a long (and boring) list with all your qualities (e.g., disciplined, creative, problem solver), try to connect them with real life and work experiences. In other words, you need to back these qualities and strengths up, or else it will appear that you are just trying to inflate things.

Make sure to use the right keywords

Most companies (even smaller ones) are already using digital databases to search for candidates. This means that the HR department will run search queries based on specific keywords. Guess what, if your resume doesn't have the keywords related to the job you are applying for, you will be out even before the game starts. These keywords will usually be nouns. Check the job description and related job ads for a clue on what the employer might be looking for.

Use effective titles

Like it or not, employers will usually make a judgment about your resume in 5 seconds. Under this time frame the most important aspect will be the titles that you listed on the resume, so make sure they grab the attention. Try to be as descriptive as possible, giving the employer a good idea about the nature of your past work experiences. For example, Bad title: Accounting, Good title: Management of A/R and A/P and Recordkeeping.

Proofread it twice

It would be difficult to emphasize the importance of proofreading your resume. One small typo and your chances of getting hired could slip. Proofreading it once is not enough, so do it twice, three times or as many as necessary.

Use bullet points

No employer will have the time (or patience) to read long paragraphs of text. Make sure, therefore, to use bullet points and short sentences to describe your experiences, educational background and professional objectives.

Where are you going?

Including professional goals can help you by giving employers an idea of where you are going, and how you want to arrive there. You don't need to have a special section devoted to your professional objectives, but overall the resume must communicate it. The question of whether or not to highlight your career objectives on the resume is a polemic one among HR managers, so go with your feeling. If you decide to list them, make sure they are not generic.

Put the most important information first

This point is valid both to the overall order of your resume, as well as to the individual sections. Most of the times your previous work experience will be the most important part of the resume, so put it at the top. When describing your experiences or skills, list the most important ones first.

Attention to the typography

First of all make sure that your fonts are big enough. The smaller you should go is 11 points, but 12 is probably safer. Do not use capital letters all over the place, remember that your goal is to communicate a message as fast and as clearly as possible. Arial and Times are good choices.

Do not include "no kidding" information

There are many people that like to include statements like "Available for interview" or "References available upon request." If you are sending a resume to a company, it should be a given that you are available for an interview and that you will provide references if requested. Just avoid items that will make the employer think "no kidding!"

Explain the benefits of your skills

Merely stating that you can do something will not catch the attention of the employer. If you manage to explain how it will benefit his company, and to connect it to tangible results, then you will greatly improve your chances.

Avoid negativity

Do not include information that might sound negative in the eyes of the employer. This is valid both to your resume and to interviews. You don't need to include, for instance, things that you hated about your last company.

Achievements instead of responsibilities

Resumes that include a long list of "responsibilities included…" are plain boring, and not efficient in selling yourself. Instead, describe professional achievements.

Use numbers

If you are going to describe your past professional achievements, it would be a good idea to make them as solid as possible. Numbers are your friends here. Don't merely mention that you increased the annual revenues of your division, say that you increased them by Rs.100,000, by 78%, and so on.

No pictures

Unless you are applying for a job where the physical traits are very important and unless the employer specifically requested it, you should avoid attaching pictures.

28 सितंबर 1929 को इंदौर में जन्मीं लता मंगेशकर एक जीवित किंवदंती हैं। ईश्वर के वरदान के रूप में उन्हें जो आवाज मिली है, उसका सर्वोत्तम उपयोग मानव-कल्याण के लिए लताजी ने किया है।
दुनिया में कोई स्त्री आज तक ऐसी नहीं हुई है, जिसने अपनी आवाज के बल पर इतनी दौलत और शोहरत अर्जित की हो। लताजी ने अपनी आवाज को हवा में बिखेरकर बच्चों से लेकर बूढ़ों तक को समय-समय पर सुकून पहुँचाया है।
लोरी गाकर बच्चों को सुलाया है। युवा-वर्ग को उनके प्रेम-प्यार की अभिव्यक्ति दी है। बूढ़ों को उनके अकेलेपन में अपनी आवाज का सहारा दिया है।

* महाशिवरात्रि, सावन सोमवार के अलावा वे गुरुवार को व्रत रखती हैं।

* लता ने अपना पहला फिल्मी गीत मराठी फिल्म 'किती हंसाल' (1942) में गाया, लेकिन किसी कारणवश इस गीत को फिल्म में शामिल नहीं किया गया। मराठी फिल्म 'पहिली मंगळागौर' (1942) में उनकी आवाज पहली बार सुनाई दी।

* हिन्दी फिल्म 'आपकी सेवा में' (1947) लता ने पहली बार गया। गीत के बोल थे- पा लागूं कर जोरी रे।

* लता ने पहली बार पार्श्व गायन नायिका मुनव्वर सुल्ताना के लिए किया था।

* लता ने अंग्रेजी, असमिया, बांग्ला, ब्रजभाषा, डोगरी, भोजपुरी, कोंकणी, कन्नड़, मगधी, मैथिली, मणिपुरी, मलयालम, सिंधी, तमिल, तेलुगू, उर्दू, मराठी, नेपाली, उडिया, पंजाबी, संस्कृत, सिंहली आदि भाषाओं में गीत गाए हैं।

* वे मराठी भाषी हैं, परन्तु वे हिन्दी, बांग्ला, तमिल, संस्कृत, गुजराती और पंजाबी भाषा में बतिया लेती हैं।

* बतौर अभिनेत्री लता ने कई हिन्दी व मराठी फिल्मों में काम मिया है। हिन्दी में वे बड़ी माँ, जीवन यात्रा, सुभद्रा, छत्रपति शिवाजी जैसी फिल्मों में आ चुकी हैं।

* गायिका, अभिनेत्री होने के साथ-साथ लता ने फिल्मों में संगीत भी दिया है। अधिकांश मराठी फिल्मों में उन्होंने आन्दघन नाम से संगीत दिया है।

* वे फिल्म निर्माता रही है और 'लेकिन', बादल' और कांचनजंगा जैसी फिल्में बना चुकी हैं।

* आजा रे परदेसी (मधुमति : 1958), कहीं दीप जले कहीं दिल (बीस साल बाद : 1962), तुम्हीं मेरे मंदिर (खानदान : 1965) और आप मुझे अच्छे लगने लगे (जीने की राह : 1969) के लिए फिल्मफेयर पुरस्कार जीतने के बाद लता ने इस पुरस्कार को स्वीकार करना बंद कर दिया। वे चाहती थी कि नई गायिकाओं को यह पुरस्कार मिले।

* परिचय (1972), कोरा कागज (1974) और लेकिन (1990) के लिए उन्हें राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिले हैं।

* वर्ष 1951 में लताजी ने सर्वाधिक 225 गीत गाए थे।

* पुरुष गायकों में मोहम्द रफी के साथ लता ने सर्वाधिक 440 युगल गीत गाए। जबकि 327 किशोर के साथ। महिला युगल गीत उन्होंने सबसे ज्यादा आशा भोंसले के साथ गाए हैं।

* लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल के 686, शंकर जयकिशन के 453, आरडी बर्मन के 343 और कल्याणजी-आनंदजी के लिए लता ने 303 गीत गाए हैं।

* गीतकारों में आनंद बक्षी द्वारा लिखे गए 700 से अधिक गीत लता ने गाए हैं।
मौन कर देने वाला अदभुत स्वर

विपरीत परिस्थितियों में अमूमन मनुष्य अपना धीरज खो बैठता है और जीवन के लक्ष्य डाँवाडोल हो जाते हैं। लेकिन यदि लता मंगेशकर जैसी शख्सियत के साथ इस बात को रखकर देखा जाए तो लगता है यह बात सरासर गलत है। लताजी ने जिन परिस्थितियों में और जिस जीवट के साथ अपने कॅरियर को आकार दिया वह इस बात को साबित करता है कि जीवन के विपरीत ही मनुष्य की कामयाबियों का पथ प्रशस्त करते हैं।

जिस उम्र और हालात में लताजी ने मुंबई का रुख किया और गायन के क्षेत्र में धीरे-धीरे लेकिन निश्चित रूप से अपनी जगह बनानी शुरू की वह कथाक्रम संगीतप्रेमियों को मालूम है। इसका कारण यह है कि लताजी अपने जीवनकाल में ही एक जीवित दस्तावेज बन गई हैं और उसमें एक रोमांच से भरी पूरी फैन्टेसी है।

मुंबई आना फिर वहॉं पर अलग-अलग टेम्परामेंट, तबियत और तेवर वाले संगीतकारों की मुलाजिमत करना। मुलाज़िमत इसलिए कह रहा हूँ कि लताजी के शुरूआती कॅरियर में गायक का काम तकरीबन नौकरी करने जैसा ही होता था। रचनाशील और गुणी संगीतकारों का मान रखना लता मंगेशकर ने शुरू से सीखा था और शिखर पर आने तक क़ायम रखा।

साठ के दशक के बाद तो कई ऐसे संगीतकार भी परिदृश्य पर आए जो लताजी से उम्र में छोटे तो थे ही लेकिन साजिंदों के रूप में भी अन्य वरिष्ठ संगीतकारों के साथ काम कर चुके थे या लताजी की रिकॉर्डिंग्स् में विभिन्न साज़ बजा चुके थे। लेकिन म्युजिक डायरेक्टर नाम की संस्था के लिए लता, रफ़ी, किशोर, मुकेश, मन्ना डे, तलत मेहमूद और महेन्द्र कपूर तक की पीढ़ी ने जिस किस्म का आदरभाव रखा है उसी वजह से संगीत उत्कृष्ट बना और गाने वालों ने उसे बेहतरीन गाया।

मुख़्तसर में बात इतनी सी है कि लताजी ने हमेशा संगीतकारों का अनुसरण किया और कालजयी गीतों की सारथी बनीं। यह जग-जाहिर है कि म्युजिक इंडस्ट्री में पुरूषों की प्रधानता रही है। म्युजिक डायरेक्टर से लेकर साजिंदों तक पुरूषों का अधिकार रहा है। यहाँ यह बात भी गौरतलब है कि लताजी ने अपनी तमाम असहायता को धता दिखाते हुए अपना पाया दिन-प्रतिदिन मजबूत किया। गरीबी और अभाव अपनी जगह हैं लेकिन लताजी ने कभी भी अपने हालात को लेकर किसी तरह का हीन भाव नहीं पाला, अपने आपको कमतर नहीं आँका।

वे अपने काम में लगी रहीं और संघर्ष मे दौर में कभी भी इस बात की चिंता नहीं पाली कि उनकी अपनी निजी हैसियत क्या है। उन्होंनें अपनी हैसियत का कारनामा अपने गले की कारीगरी से गढ़ा। वे अपने कंठ में समाए सुरीले उजाले को और विस्तृत करतीं गईं। रियाज, उस्तादों के सबक और पार्श्वगायन की तकनीक को तराशने की जिद ने लता मंगेशकर नाम के करिश्मे की घड़ावन की है। इस बात से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता कि लताजी की घड़ावन में ईश्वर की नवाज़िशें भी शरीक रहीं। इसीलिए उनका गाया हुआ मैकेनिज्म से बाहर आकर डिवाइन बनता गया।

लताजी के जीते जी अब इस दुनिया को यक़ीन कर लेना चाहिए कि वे एक दैवीय स्वर हैं और हम सब संगीतप्रेमियों के कान में आ समाने वाले शोर, तमस, कड़वाहटों और बेसुरेपन के जाले झाड़ने भारतभूमि पर प्रकट हुआ है।

पुरुष स्वरों के साथ गाते व़क़्त गायिका को एक अतिरिक्त वर्ज़िश की जरूरत होती है। पुरुष और नारी कंठ की स्वर पट्टी अलग-अलग होती है यह बात सभी जानते हैं। फ़िल्म संगीत, शास्त्रीय या सुगम संगीत (गजल, भजन, गीत) से जरा ऊँची पट्टी में ही ध्वनि मुद्रित किया जाता है। प्लेबैक सिंगिंग के आलोचक कहते भी हैं कि गले का सत्यानाश करना हो तो फ़िल्मों में गाओ। यदि यह बात ग़लत है तो इसका श्रेय लता मंगेशकर जैसी जीवित किंवदंती को ही देना पड़ेगा जिन्होंने अपने गले को तानते हुए भी सुरीलेपन का सत्व क़ायम रखा।

यह एक अविश्वसनीय सा तथ्य है कि लताजी भी अपने गीत भी पुरूष पट्टी से ही उठाती हैं जो एक बहुत कठिन काम है, पर शायद इसीलिए वे स्वर साम्राज्ञी हैं...स्वर कोकिला हैं और सुर देवी भी हैं। जो असाधारण या असंभव है उसे कर गुजरना लताजी के बूते का ही है। अपने प्रिय-अप्रिय और अनुकूल-प्रतिकूल को धता बताते हुए लता मंगेशकर पूरी फ़िल्म के संगीत की लोकप्रियता का जिम्मा अपने इकलौते गले पर लेती रहीं हैं।

मेरी यह बात लता को न चाहने वाले या लता के अलावा और भी गायक-गायिकाओं से प्रीति रखने वाले लोगों को अतिरंजित लग सकती है लेकिन आज जो अतिरंजित है वह कल हकीकत बन जाएगा। जार-जार आँसुओं से रोते हुए हम यह कहेंगे कि हाय लता तुमने फलॉं गीत में क्या कहर ढाया है।

फैशन बदल रहा है, जुबान, बोल व्यवहार, लहजा, तहजीब, तेवर, चाल-चलन, स्वाद और ज़िंदगी के सलीके भी बदल रहे हैं। नहीं कुछ बदला है तो लता मंगेशकर के गीतों का रूहानी सौंदर्य। लताजी ने करोड़ों संगीतप्रेमियों को अलिखित दिलासा और हौसला फ़राहम कर कई नस्लों को आबाद करने का कारनामा किया है।

आज इस बात की पुष्टि के लिए हमारे पास कोई प्रमाण नहीं लेकिन जल्द देखिएगा कि इस तरह के क़िस्से फ़िज़ाओं में गूँज रहे होंगे...मैं ख़ुदकुशी करने जा रही थी - लताजी का गीत सुना, वापस घर आ गई। माँ गुज़र गई थी - आँखों के सामने अँधेरा छा गया था, लताजी का गीत कानों पर पड़ा और माँ की नसीहतें मन में आ समाईं। ज़िंदगी की मुश्किलों से थक गया था - लताजी के दो बोल सुने; कामयाबी का नया सफ़र तय कर लिया। प्रेम को अभिव्यक्ति देने के लिए शब्द नहीं थे - लताजी को सुना और लगा बात बन गई।

ध्यान रखिएगा लताजी का असली मुरीद वह है जो उनके गीत को सुनकर कुछ कह नहीं पाता, कुछ लिख नहीं सकता। किसी गीत के बाद यदि सुदीर्घ मौन पसर गया है तो समझ लीजिए लता मंगेशकर का कोई बहुत मीठा गीत अभी-अभी सुना गया है।
